Lexus invests SR250m in new showroom

RIYADH: Abdul Latif Jameel Group ( ALJ ) has signed a SR250 million contract for construction of the new Lexus center in Riyadh. Located on an area of approximately 27,000 square meters along Riyadh's northern Ring Road, the new Lexus center will provide main services including sales of new and used Lexus cars, service and spare parts.

The building area of the center is approximately 33,000 square meters, while the main showroom (3,000 square meters) accommodates almost 20 vehicles. The workshop and service division accommodates 83 vehicles, which could be maintained simultaneously. The center includes another showroom dedicated for used cars, with a capacity of approximately 15 vehicles. The surroundings of the center are equipped with a parking area for 200 vehicles for the guests.

Saad Attiya Al-Ghamdi, senior deputy president at ALJ , signed the contract for building the center with Giath Kabbani, general manager of Hashim Contracting and Trading Co. Ltd., the Saudi company specialized in contracting and real estate development.

Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, president of ALJ , said that the new and the first of its kind Lexus center in Riyadh provides 200 jobs for administrators and technicians. He added that ALJ is making this investment at this time to serve Lexus guests and customers better, taking into consideration that Lexus is continuously seeking to be close to its guests and to improve the services it provides.
