Al-Khayyat: Mena Telecom aims to have 100,000 clients

Kuwait Finance House in Bahrain ( KFH-Bahrain ) Managing Director and CEO, and Chairman of Mena Telecom Abdul Hakeem Al-Khayyat said that the company, which is a KFH-Bahrain subsidiary, is currently the second internet provider in Bahrain, and that it aims to have 100,000 subscriber during the coming period through opening new branches and through boosting investments in the technology field; thus granting the company a competitive edge, not to mention increasing its market share and its local and global competitiveness. He noted that the company has made great strides during the past two years in the field of communications in Bahrain, where it was awarded Best Internet Provider in the Middle East and Africa during the annual 2009 CommsMEA award ceremony. It current client base is 60,000 subscriber, and the volume of investments exceeds USD 100 million.

He added that the company has launched new bouquet services that allow internet users using broadband in Bahrain to enjoy high internet speeds that reach 18 megabytes. The company's capacity reached 100,000 subscribers, and offers companies internet services at a speed of 50 megabytes. He explained that the company has expanded its network of branches and centers that are found in several locations and strategic areas, including the Bahrain World Trade Mall, Social Insurance Compound, Country Mall, Al-Muharraq, Eissa City, Bu Quwarah, Hamad City, and KFH Auto Mall.
