INJAZ fully registered and to expand operations in Qatar

INJAZ to introduce two new courses for secondary school and university students in 2011
Doha, Qatar, 31 January 2011 - INJAZ Qatar, a non-profit organization and affiliate of Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide, is now fully registered in Qatar, allowing the non-profit organization that works to prepare youth with entrepreneurship and leadership skills, to establish a stronger presence in the country and operate with greater governance, operational and fundraising independence.

Sheikha Hanadi bint Nasser Bin Khaled AlThani, Chairperson of INJAZ Qatar, commented saying, "INJAZ Qatar's presence is the result of collaborative efforts between our board members, partners, sponsors and schools. Becoming fully registered in Qatar allows INJAZ to broaden its activities and fulfill our shared vision for broadening the outlook of Arab youth."

INJAZ Qatar began as a program office in 2007. At first, it tested courses across schools and formed key partnerships with the private business sector. Following two successful semesters, demand from schools increased and more opportunities for collaboration with the business community arose. It was then that it was decided INJAZ should officially establish a presence in Qatar through completing the registration process.

" ExxonMobil 's partnership with INJAZ Qatar is part of our commitment to Qatar National Vision 2030. ExxonMobil has supported INJAZ since its inception in 2007 and is an extension of ExxonMobil 's partnership with INJAZ across the region and Junior Achievement around the globe. Over the last several years we have seen Injaz, and in turn, Qatar's youth- benefit tremendously from INJAZ outreach activities. We are confident that Injaz will continue to grow and build momentum for many years to come." said Alex Dodds, President and General Manager of ExxonMobil Qatar Inc .

"At QFIB, we are proud of our association with Injaz. We recently joined Injaz board out of our strong belief in their mission to empower today's youth to be tomorrow's leaders. We share their commitment and fully support their initiatives to develop the business skills and expand the knowledge of future generations," said Abdulla bin Fahad Bin Ghorab Al Marri, Chairman of Qatar First Investment Bank.

INJAZ Qatar will soon be introducing a new course, Success Skills, in secondary schools and at Qatar University, and is looking to reach out to four additional schools as well.

INJAZ Qatar is currently lead by a board of 12 active members of the private business sector in Qatar and supported by over 23 companies. INJAZ's activities in Qatar include six programs offered across 14 independent schools and at Qatar University, focusing on teaching work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy skills. These courses are delivered by over 150 corporate volunteers.
