Kuwait, 11 January 2011: ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Kuwait Limited announced today the launch of the second annual science trip essay competition in collaboration with Bayan Bilingual School (BBS), as part of its ongoing support for math and science education in Kuwait. Finalists of the competition will be rewarded a five-day trip to London in April 2011 to visit ExxonMobil's UK refinery in addition to a tour of the UK's top universities and cultural sights.
Students participating in the second "ExxonMobil Science Trip Essay Competition" are required to submit an essay on what they deem as the most significant scientific achievement made by an Arab scientist in the last two decades.
The winners will be chosen by a panel of judges comprised of ExxonMobil Kuwait's President, Dr. John Hoholick, BBS Science Head Teacher, Mrs. Seema Faruqui and Kuwait University Professor, Dr. Khaled Mahdi. Winners will be announced on January 26th 2011.
Globally and in Kuwait, ExxonMobil is an active supporter of math and science education. In Kuwait, ExxonMobil is a co-founder of the annual Kuwait Science Fair competition, Kuwait's largest math and science competition launched in 2008.
