Lebanon health minister calls for boosting of medical ties with Iran


Beirut, Lebanon - Lebanese Public Health Minister Mohammad Khalifeh here on Tuesday called for enhanced ties with Iranian side in medical fields.

The Lebanese minister made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi.

Khalifeh also described exchange of medical expertise with Iranian side as useful.

Ways of festering mutual cooperation based on agreements recently inked by the two countries' presidents also were discussed during the meeting.

Some 25 political, cultural and social agreements have been inked during the recent visit of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Beirut and Lebanese Prime Minster Saad Harrii's visit to Tehran.
