In Gulf Cooperation Council region, Al Tayer Travel Agency becomes a Disneyland® Paris distributor
Starting April 6th 2011, Al Tayer Travel Agency becomes a distributor of Disneyland Paris in the Gulf Cooperation Council region (GCC).
During his recent visit in Dubai end of October, Mr Norbert Stiekema, Senior Vice-President Sales & Distribution at Disneyland Paris, met with Mr Manu Mehrotra, General Manager at Al Tayer Travel Agency. They discussed the modalities of this new collaboration.
"The Middle East market in general, and the GCC in particular, constitutes an important segment for our business", said Mr Stiekema.
Norbert Stiekema added "Disneyland Paris is one of the nest attractions for the Gulf, especially for those families that want to enjoy an atmosphere tailor-made for family tourism. We have highest levels of security across both Disney® Parks and Disney Hotels; and children can enjoy their favourite Disney characters while parents relax".
Disneyland Paris is Europe's leading tourist destination, with more than 215 million visits since the Resort opened in 1992 (15.4 million visits in 2009). The Resort includes two spectacular theme parks (Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park); seven Disney themed hotels with approximately 5,800 hotel rooms (with an additional 2,400 hotel rooms operated by Selected and Associated Hotels); two full-service convention centres; and a 27-hole, world-class golf course. In addition, the Resort is home to Disney Village, one of the largest entertainment districts in the Ile-de-France Region. Spanning more than 30,000 m2, Disney Village offers themed restaurants, shops and a cinema multiplex. In all, Disneyland Paris includes 53 attractions, 55 shops, and 74 restaurants. The Disney new generation festival kicked-off in April 2010 with all new experiences. In summer 2010, Toy Story Playland has opened in Walt Disney Studios Park, with three new attractions.
Please note that, effective immediately, Al Tayer Travel Agency becomes as well a preferred operator for Disney® Cruise Line in Gulf Cooperation Council region.
