Italian Festival Weeks 2010 draws to a successful end
By By Staff Report DUBAI - Following its success of the previous years, the Italian Industry and Commerce Office in the UAE (IICUAE) presented the fourth edition of its flagship event, the Italian Festival Weeks in the UAE, which concluded recently.The event is a container of cultural and business activities that aims to enhance and strengthen the cultural and socio-economical bond between Italy and the UAE.
The Festival once again enjoyed the Patronage of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and the Italian Embassy to the United Arab Emirates, and for the first time this year, also under the patronage of ENIT, the Italian Government Tourist Board.
Sponsors of this year's edition were the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (Title Sponsor), Khaleej Times (Regional Media Sponsor), International Herald Tribune (International Media Sponsor), Lavazza (Gold Sponsor), Saipem- ENI Group , Finmeccanica, Intesa San Paolo, Assicurazioni Generali, Floor System Company, Coral Beach Resort Sharjah, Kelmer Group, Airfrance-KLM, Dolce Antico, Padova Promex and Italian Quality Food.
As in the previous editions, the most successful Italian enterprise in the UAE was recognised. This year, the award was presented to Saipem ( ENI Group ) for their key role in some of the major oil and gas projects in the UAE.
