The Conde Nast Traveller 2010 Reader' Choice Awards Took Place in New York

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 8 November 2010 - Numerous Hyatt properties around the world have been honoured with a place on the highly prestigious Best 100 Hotels in the World list by Conde Nast Traveller 2010 Reader' Choice Awards.

The annual event, now in its 23rd year, was held in New York last month. Conde Nast Traveller's Reader' Choice Awards is one of most trusted evaluations in the entire travel industry and nearly 26,000 readers took part in this year's survey.

''Conde Nast Traveller is a highly read and respected magazine for discerning world travellers, and we are extremely proud to be chosen out of thousands of hotels worldwide and are extremely proud to be on the list of Conde Nast Travellers Top 100 Hotels in the World. This is testament to the dedication and creativity of our teams in these hotels," said Thierry Bertin, VP Sales and Marketing, Hyatt International, South West Asia.

In the Middle East, Park Hyatt Dubai gained 1st place in the Top Hotels in the Middle East category while Grand Hyatt Dubai was placed eighth. Hyatt Regency Dubai came 10th in the Top Resorts in the Middle East category.

Across Asia, Park Hyatt Tokyo was honored with a place on the Best 100 Hotels in the World list while numerous other Hyatt properties across Asia were ranked on the Top Hotel category list. In South America, Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt Buenos Aires ranked 2nd of Top Hotels in the country while Park Hyatt Mendoza was placed 13th and Grand Hyatt Santiago, 15th.

Middle East residents looking for an exciting trip to Asia could do well to pay a visit to the 177-room Park Hyatt Tokyo, made famous as the locale of the hit Hollywood movie, Lost in Translation. The hotel occupies the top 14 floors of the 52-story Shinjuku Park Tower and is located in Shinjuku - Tokyo's premier nightlife and shopping destination.

Middle East guests can also take advantage of the hotel's spectacular views of Tokyo's skyline in one of the seven restaurants and lounges the hotel has to offer, including the iconic New York Bar, Tokyo's most spectacular venue for live music.

Each guest room at Park Hyatt Tokyo offers breathtaking views of the city and Yoyogi Park, providing understated modern decor, original pieces of art, and rare Hokkaido water elm paneling. The spacious 45-sq-metre rooms also offer a work area, high-speed Internet, a walk-in closet, personal entertainment centre, and a deep soaking tub.

Middle East guests can also experience the hotel's Club on the Park Spa offering sweeping views of Shinjuku and beyond. Located on the 47th floor, the spa offers high-performance facilities for hotel guests featuring a gym, a 20-metre pool, and an aerobics studio.

In addition, to celebrating its15th year as one of the world's most distinguished modern luxury hotels, Park Hyatt Tokyo has teamed up with NIGO®, producer, DJ, and founder of the much-acclaimed Japanese clothing brand, A Bathing Ape®, to produce its second music compilation. NIGO®, has created an album celebrating the hotel's connectivity with a city whose film, fashion, art, and entertainment have captured the hearts and minds of travellers from around the world.

Middle East travelers looking for a new, exciting destination could head to the city famous for its rich cuisine, sports and glamour - Buenos Aires, capital of the South American country of Argentina.

The 204-room Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, located in the fashionable Recoleta shopping and residential district on Avenida Alvear, combines a restored Palace with the new Posadas building and is just the place for travelers looking for a comfortable and luxurious experience.

"Guests staying at the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires will be able to discover the excitement and beauty of the trend-setting city and at the same time experience the grandeur of one of South America's leading hotels," said Bertin.

The hotel's handsomely restored Palacio Duhau, built in 1934 by French architect León Dourge, is one of the few remaining palaces representing the city's traditional and exclusive "Porteña" aristocracy (the Duhau family was its original occupant). In contrast, the new, contemporary Posadas building reflects the future of Buenos Aires.

Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires is surrounded by neo-classical architecture and exclusive designer boutiques such as Fendi, Emporio Armani, Ralph Lauren, and Escada.

For the art enthusiasts, the hotel holds an impressive array of art as well as an underground gallery called "Paseo de las Artes" showcasing renowned contemporary artists like Raúl Farco, Hernán Dompé, Kirin, Guillermo Roux, Líbero Badi and Rómulo Macció.

In addition, Park Hyatt Buenos Aires boasts a number of leading gourmet options. Duhau Restaurant & Vinoteca offers contemporary cuisine with an emphasis on seasonal and fresh products executed with contemporary French style, including a special feature on wood-grill preparation, and flawless service. Located a half level above the Posadas lobby is Gioia Restaurant & Terraces. The contemporary design of Gioia Restaurant & Terraces creates a wonderful and harmonious contrast to the Old World charm of the Palace and has sweeping views of the gardens with its floor-to-ceiling windows.

The hotel also offers guests top-of-the-line business and meeting facilities, as well as the prestigious AHIN Wellness & Spa.
