The group's megaproject, Dubai Festival City submitted three entries into the highly acclaimed property industry competition and won three awards in the categories of Best Mixed Use Development for Dubai Festival City , Best Residential Development for Al Badia Hillside Village, Dubai Festival City and Best Retail Development for Festival Centre , Dubai Festival City .

The Arabian Property Awards is part of the International Property Awards, the world's most prestigious competition dedicated to finding the best real estate professionals across the globe. They celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry. The fact that AFGRE has won these coveted awards is proof that the UAE generally and specifically Dubai, is not only able to compete at this level but also triumph within the highly competitive Arabian property arena.
Much of the judging was carried out by the International Property Awards' esteemed panel of judges at the London offices of Bloomberg Television but entries were also outsourced to leading experts in each particular field throughout the world. This year's judges included Luke McKend, industry head property markets of Google UK; Peter Bolton King, group chief executive of the National Federation of Property Professionals; Christopher Hall, president elect of FIABCI; Thijs Stoffer, International Consortium of Real Estate Agents Association (ICREA); Fiona Nixon, chairman of the Australia Institute of Architects, Hendrik Nelde, president of FIABCI Belgium; Helen Shield, editor-in-chief of International Homes Luxury Collection magazine and Sven Johns, CEO of the German Real Estate Association.
