'Nama Chemicals' achieved 714% increase in gross profit during the second quarter of 2010
Al jubail, July 20, 2010: " Nama Chemicals "(listed in SFM), Announced its preliminary financial results for the second quarter of 2010, which achieved a net profit during the three months ended June 30, 2010 amounting to (10.6) million riyals, compared with net profit worth (2.10) million riyals During the first quarter of this year, and net loss of (3.3) million riyals in the second quarter of 2009.Amounted to gross profits of the company during the second quarter of this year (35.8) million riyals, up 714% from the gross profits earned during the corresponding period of the year 2009, which amounted to (4.4) million riyals.
The company said that operating profit achieved during the second quarter of 2010, amounted to (19) million riyals, compared with a loss of value of (9.2) million during the corresponding period last year.
And showed the preliminary results the company has achieved a gross profit amounted to (51.1) million riyals in the first half of this year, compared to losses of (14.6) million during the corresponding period of last year, while operating profits for the first six months of this year (22.2) million riyals, against a loss (43.2) million riyals in the same period of the year 2009.

About the company history:
The company was founded in 1992, and has established two industrial projects in Jubail industrial city; "Jana" and "Soda", for the production of epoxy, caustic soda and Epichlorohydrin as well as various other products. Both are owned 100% by "
Nama
" chemicals. Also the company invested in other petrochemical projects such as "Ibn Rushud" and " Ynsab" subsidiaries of SABIC.
