Savola Organizes its Annual Conference Drawing 300 Key Managers & Showcases Last Year's Performance & Future Strategies
Jeddah - 30 May 2010: Savola Group organized its annual conference targeting its leadership team and key executives under the theme "Focus to Win". The event drew more than 300 key managers from the Group was led by Dr. Sami Baroum, Group MD and Dr. Abdulraoof Manna, MD of Savola Foods and other key executives and managers from Savola HQ and business units inside and outside the Kingdom. The one-day event began with an introduction from the Group MD who welcomed the participants and thanked Savola team members for their efforts, outstanding performance and team spirit, which continues to drive the Group's strategy and reinforce its leadership locally, regionally, and globally.
Dr. Baroum reviewed the financial results and the Group performance during 2009, were it maintained its market leadership and was able to achieve high results and perform major operational expansion programs locally and regionally. He also highlighted the importance of the "Focus & Leverage" strategy and learning curves. The MD also thanked all Savola Group employees and sectors inside and outside the kingdom and expressed his honor and pride in being part of the " Savola Group family."
The event witnessed presentations from all sectors heads with expectations and plans for 2010 ending with a question and answer session. The conference also featured a special documentary on Savola's Center for Empowering Persons with Disabilities, Savola's CSR initiative which plans to train and employ 2,000 persons with visual, hearing, and physical disabilities in the next three years. Injaz Saudi Arabia, which is supported by the Savola Group also presented their volunteering program and urged Savola team members to take part in its activities.
