2nd Annual Travel Fair at Dubai Health Authority by Dnata Travel Services attracts 1,500 government employees

DUBAI, U.A.E., 25th April 2010 - Today's 2nd annual Travel Fair was a huge success, designed to showcase the latest summer offers to all Dubai government employees. Participants had a chance to win more than 65 travel prizes, to enjoy later this summer.

The Travel Fair attracted around 1,500 government employees of the Dubai Health Authority ( DHA ), as well as employees from other government departments. Held at the DHA premises in Dubai, the event was organized by Dnata Travel Services and the Dubai Health Authority .

In addition to senior staff members from the Dubai Health Authority , a number of dignitaries, including directors from key government organizations such as the Ruler's office, also attended the event: Eyad Juma Al Kendi - director, shared services. Zaabeel office for HH Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Sherif M. Fakhry , director adminstrative and finance control, H.H The Ruler's Court, government of Dubai; Saeed Ahmad bin Eissa, manager of ticketing department, H.H The Ruler's Court, government of Dubai and Abdulla Lootah, head of public relations department, H.H The Ruler's Court, government of Dubai.

The event was inaugurated by His Excellency Khalid Al Shaikh Mubarak, CEO of Shared Support Services Sector at the DHA . Al Mubarak said, "We are proud to host this event on our premises, where more than 18 hotel and airline companies are participating in this travel fair. At the DHA , we like to promote such events which benefit Dubai Government Employees and this event offers them a variety of travel and tourism options under one roof."

We extend a special thanks to our airline and hotel partners who contributed exciting travel prizes. It is always a pleasure to work with the Dubai Health Authority and other government organisations. Today's exhibitors gave the Dubai Government employees some unique ideas for summer holiday plans. We hope that each and every attendant found the fair interesting, and we look forward to helping them with their upcoming travel requirements," said Abdulla Tawakul, Senior Vice President, Corporate & Regional Network, Dnata Travel Services.

Airline partners included Egypt Airlines, Emirates, Etihad, KLM/Air France, Lufthansa, Qatar, Swiss, United and Virgin. Hotel partners included Hilton Worldwide, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, The Address Hotels + Resorts, Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts and the Meydan Group. Emirates Holidays, the Dubai Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing-Dubai Convention Bureau and the Singapore Tourism Board also participated.

Lucky raffle winners had a chance to win up to 65 exciting prizes, including seats on airlines, hotel stays, dinners and Wild Wadi rides. Swiss donated two business class tickets to Europe, and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group provided around 20 vouchers in hotel stays.

Traditional Arabic hospitality was offered with coffee and dates, as well as an Ayalla performance (traditional Emirati dance).
