Cleartag Talks Digital Media at E-Government Seminar
Members from the Cleartag team headed a presentation and panel discussion on the influence of the use of digital media in E-Government in the Middle East at the E-Government Seminar, the morning after the E-Government Web Awards, held at the Habtoor Grand Hotel in Beirut.One discussion revolved around the importance of adopting social media to promote transparency, collaboration, participation, and empowerment when it comes to governments and the public. According to George ElKhabbaz, Social Influence Manager at Cleartag, "All governments must adopt a policy to use social media to extend informational reach to their citizens."
Other topics discussed included the importance of digital branding, the present and future digital touch-points in e-Government, and security challenges facing e-Government initiatives.
