Bahrain, Tuesday 13th April 2010 - Energy Evolution Middle East, the agenda-setting event for the region's energy industry in 2010 and beyond, taking place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Mamana, Bahrain on 17 - 19 May 2010, is pleased to announce the full support of H.E. Dr Abdul Hussain Bin Ali Mirza, the Minister of Oil & Gas Affairs and Chairman of the National Oil & Gas Authority in Bahrain.

This summit will tackle head-on the challenges facing national and international oil companies in the region, and the engineering, financial and legal experts who work with them, in achieving carbon mitigation and more efficient and cost-effective operations.

The investment climate in the Middle East has changed - NOCs are already seeing massive cost savings by improving efficiency and integrating clean energy technologies. Energy Evolution Middle East will identify how the energy industry can harness the potential of environmental technologies, including solar, wind and carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies, to improve the efficiency of their present and future operations, support E&P, bolster bottom line profits, reduce their carbon footprint and incorporate alternative energies for long term sustainable development and growth.

Uniquely, Energy Evolution Middle East will look at clean energy specifically from the perspective of the oil producing countries of the Middle East, providing insight into their clean energy strategies.

Achieving energy and operational efficiency is arguably the most important development for the energy sector in recent years and Energy Evolution is the meeting place where decision makers can accelerate the deployment of clean and energy efficient technologies and discuss directly the next step to achieving these important measures to reach resource optimisation.
