OKI Printing Solutions offers 3 years warranty and competitive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) with the new C610
Dubai, UAE, 09 March 2010: OKI Printing Solutions , a leader in the global colour printing market, announced today the launch of its new C610, which replaces the well-established and highly successful C5950. Building on the company's long-standing strength in the highly-demanding general office and workgroup market, OKI sets new performance standards with the launch of the new C610 colour and mono printer.

The C610's new printer architecture offers the benefit of reduced power consumption. In sleep mode, for example, the power consumption target is just 1.2w, much lower than any competitive offering. The benefits of this are twofold: a significant cost saving and a reduction in the environmental impact of the company's printing activities. The C610 has been designed to meet changing market needs and combines faster print speeds and enhanced media flexibility with OKI Printing Solutions ' renowned reliability. At the same time as providing significantly improved performance at a very attractive price, the C610 retains a similar compact footprint to the earlier C5950.

Office efficiencies will be significantly improved as the C610 offers class-leading print speeds of 34 ppm colour and 36 ppm mono, as well as excellent time to first print of just eight seconds mono and nine seconds colour.

"Combined with our ultra-reliable LED and single pass technologies and offering a three paper tray option, the C610 will consistently deliver the higher throughput busy office and workgroup users require, to meet pressing deadlines," said Ross "In addition, the C610's flexibility and reliability ensures maximum uptime, enabling the business to focus on its core tasks."

The C610 also offers improved media handling of up to 250gsm, together with flexible media size support, from A6 to A4 and 1200m banners. The C610 supports the highest media weight in its class, extends the range of printing tasks which can be undertaken in-house and with its three-tray option allows different media types to be made available instantly, with minimal manual intervention.

Among other enhancements, the C610 is now easier to use thanks to its new five line graphical LCD display. It also offers a lower-cost memory option to support OKI Printing Solutions applications, by replacing the earlier HDD with an SDHC card.

All this is supported by a three-year warranty for which purchasers simply have to register on-line and reflects the confidence OKI Printing Solutions has in the robustness of the C610. "This will give users complete peace of mind that they will maintain maximum availability of their business-critical in-house printing capability," believes Ross.
