Dubai Internet City Announces Closing Date for DemoCamp Dubai 2010 Entries
Dubai: 02 March, 2010 - Dubai Internet City , the region's largest managed ICT cluster and a member of TECOM Investments, today announced the closing date for submitting entries to the DemoCamp Dubai has now closed. The conference that aims to spark and open up creative communities for tech entrepreneurs, start ups, students, marketers, professionals and engineers, will be held on 8 March.
Already attracting an impressive array of entries from web-based applications that cater to businesses, communities and e-commerce, the event aims to nurture the region's talent for more creative concepts and encourage budding entrepreneurs to take the lead in technological innovation.
Malek Al Malek, Executive Director, Dubai Internet City , said: "The quality of entries received to date from both local and foreign companies has been exciting. Dubai Internet City 's support for DemoCamp Dubai is part of its focus to facilitate the growth of start ups in the region through providing a platform in which young entrepreneurs can demonstrate their ideas. As the region's leader and hub for information communications technology, Dubai Internet City is keen to showcase these talented individuals who has the potential to set the trend and make a difference to the world.
A panel of experts from Dubai Internet City , Venture Capitalists and DemoCamp will evaluate the submitted entries this week. Shortlisted applicants will be required to showcase their product and highlight its marketability, stages of corporate development, and identify competitors. The nominees will also be expected to offer a 10-minute demonstration on the working software, hardware and network services embedded into their business models.
With DemoCamp events taking place globally, giving people the opportunity to present new, exciting ideas and simultaneously receive feedback, DemoCamp is open to tech entrepreneurs, SMBs, designers, marketers, students, business professionals and engineers.

DemoCamp Dubai is part of the ICT cluster's ongoing efforts to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.
