Alaqaria receives ISO 9001: 2008 certification

DOHA: The Qatar Real Estate Investment Company ( Alaqaria ) has been granted the ISO certification (ISO 9001: 2008) for quality management systems, following an appraisal by Bureau Veritas.

Awarded by Maher Cheikhrouhou, Certification Manager at Bureau Veritas, the certificate was presented to Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman and Managing Director of Alaqaria , in the presence of Mohamed Ismail Mandani, the Chief Executive Officer of Alaqaria and Mohammed Al Emadi, Chief Facilities Management Officer of Alaqaria .

Alaqaria is one of the first real estate companies in Qatar to be awarded this certificate, confirming the quality of the services it provides. The Facilities Management Division handles Alaqaria 's property management and rental agreements, in addition to maintenance services, including electrical, mechanical, security and cleaning.

Qatar Real Estate Investment Company is a listed Qatari company operating in real estate development and is considered a leader in the field, particularly in Qatar's industrial sector. Established in 1995, and listed on the Qatar Exchange in 1997, Alaqaria has shareholders equity of QR2bn and total assets of QR 6.6bn. The Company owns 50 percent of ASAS Real Estate, 33 percent of Fereej Real Estate, 8 percent of Mazaya Qatar, and 17 percent of Barwa Al Baraha.
