"Tunisiana" ranked among top 10 advertisers in the Maghreb
"Sigma Conseil", a leading Tunisian audit company recently issued a study which shows that out of the top 10 advertising companies in the Maghreb, 6 are telecom companies." Tunisiana ", an Orascom company and Tunisia's second largest private cell phone operator, is ranked among the top ten advertising companies in the Maghreb with some 9, 1 million Euros spent on advertising expenses.
Four Moroccan companies lead the rankings, including Maroc Telecom with 37,2 million Euros followed by Meditel , Wana Corporate and Procter & Gamble Morocco . Two Algerian companies are also part of the top ten with Orascom Telecom Algeria (12,1 million Euros) and Wataniya Telecom Algeria (9) million Euros).
Sigma's general manager, Mr Hassen Zargouni remarks that the forthcoming launch of the third telecommunications company "Orange" in Tunisia, is "likely to change the rules of the game in the country's already highly competitive advertising market".
