ConnectmeTV Unveils Media Entertainment Console at Cairo ICT

Monday, February 10^th 2010, Cairo - Egypt - ConnectmeTV, a pioneer in home entertainment products, announced today the launch of its media entertainment console, ConnectmeTV Lyngbox. The product launch is expected to start in Egypt and follow shortly across the Middle East. The console will be available for retail sale in Egypt in the first quarter of 2010.

ConnectmeTV Lyngbox promises its users a unique and complete entertainment experience. The device boasts an integrated advanced satellite receiver producing the sharpest HD picture quality and user-centric features. With access to an advanced Electronic Program Guide (EPG) complete with information on upcoming TV programs, viewers can schedule future show recordings, and pause and rewind live TV broadcasts. Moreover, service providers can offer their subscribers what they demand, using ConnectmeTV integrated Satellite Live TV content and interactive internet services. The device also allows users to download media from their home network or the internet. With ConnectmeTV advanced parental control features, parents will never have to worry about leaving their kids alone in front of TV again.

ConnectmeTV Lyngbox enables providers to offer their subscribers the ultimate interactive TV experience without the significant infrastructure investments required to implement IPTV. The product's interactive services integrate TV content delivered to the subscriber using existing channels with interactive services delivered over IP allowing partner service providers to leverage their existing infrastructure and offer subscribers the services they demand. The services include the electronic program guide, video on demand, media downloads, targeted advertisements, and interactive advertisements.

The ConnectmeTV Lyngbox is based on the Lyngbox hardware platform developed by LyngBox Media in Sweden. The companies signed partnership last July 2009, guaranteeing ConnectmeTV exclusive rights to the Lyngbox platform in Africa and the Middle East.
