USD20bn worth petrochemical products to be yielded a year in 5 years
Tehran - The National Petrochemical Company of Iran ( NPCI ) said Sunday that by the end of the 5th Five-Year Economic Development Plan (2010-2015) national petrochemical production capacity will reach as high as 100 million tons, valued USD20 billion a year. According to the NPCI , currently 46 million tons of petrochemicals are produced in the country.Based on the report, the output target will be set once related development and downstream projects come on stream.
Some 46 development projects will be implemented in the petrochemical sector in the Five-Year Plan at a cost of USD25 billion.
