SPE North Africa Technical Conference and Exhibition (NATC) takes the oil and gas industry in North Africa to new levels
NATC, which will be taking place in Egypt 14-17 February 2010 under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Sameh Fahmy, Minister of Petroleum, Egypt.Supported by the most renowned oil and gas organisations in Egypt, including: ECHEM, EGAS , EGPC , EPA, EMRA and GANOPE, the event which was held previously in Morocco, aims to lead a coordinated dissemination and exchange of technical knowledge concerning all aspects of the oil and gas industry, and its related technologies.
Joined by the 2010 SPE President, Behrooz Fattahi, and Hassan Akl, NATC Conference Chairman, His Excellency Eng. Sameh Fahmy, Minister of Petroleum, Egypt will officiate the opening of the event which will be followed by the Executive Plenary Session entitled "Energy Management in a Challenging Economy".
Akl added: "We continually face new challenges and are now, technologically, in a very different market place, so our aim is to channel research and development, skills training and education so the oil and gas industry can achieve its strategic aims in a cost efficient, coordinated manner."
NATC offers twenty four technical sessions covering strategic oil and gas issues including reservoir management, production enhancement, water management, reserves assessment, deep drilling challenges, EOR, field life management, managing competencies, exploration, production enhancement and stimulation, HSSE, and facilities. NATC also offers four Panel Sessions entitled "Emerging Industry Partnership Landscape", "Learning from Economic Cycles - Industry Adapting", "Deepwater E&P Challenges (Economic and Technology)" and "Gas Value Chain".
In addition to all that, NATC has special features this year including a Special Session entitled "Deep Drilling Challenges", poster presentations covering around 40 posters, a young professional's workshop and a medium-sized exhibition that will take place alongside the event.
NATC takes place 14-17 February 2010 at the InterContinental Cairo Citystars Hotel.
