Mahshahr petchem output near 11m tons
TEHRAN - Some 10.906 million tons of petrochemicals have been produced in Mahshahr Special Economic Zone's complexes in the period from March 21 to December 27, 2009, SHANA news agency reported.Domestic petrochemical complexes totally produced over 22.693 million tons of petrochemicals in the mentioned period.
By the end of the current (Iranian) year, 11 petrochemical projects are planned to come on stream which would add a total of 8.8 million tons to the country's annual petrochemical production capacity.
The projects will be launched at an estimated cost of $5.1 billion.
