Syria and Spain sign agreements on capacity building and boosting academic ties between educational establishments in the two countries
Damascus - Syria and Spain signed on Wednesday an agreement on capacity building and management and organizing the process of admitting Syrian delegates in higher education programs, master and PhD, in a number of Spanish universities.The agreement was signed by Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos, Syrian Minister of Higher Education Ghayath Barakat and Director of Universidad.es Foundation Monica Margret.
The agreement aims at encouraging both sides to enhance academic ties among higher education establishments in Syria and Spain.
For his part, Dr. Barakat said the agreement reflects positively on the scientific cooperation between the two countries and enhances the joint desire to cooperate in the fields of science and technology.
