Autostar, Abdul Latif Jameel ink accord on vehicle supply
JEDDAH - General Automotive Company (Autostar) has signed an agreement with Abdul Latif Jameel Co , exclusive dealer of Toyota cars in the Kingdom for the supply of 4,700 Toyota 2010 model vehicles of various types.The agreement was signed on behalf of Autostar by Abdul Rahman Al-Eid, general manager, and Ghaleb Yamani, general manager, Corporate Sales for Abdul Latif Jameel by at a ceremony held at Autostar premises here, in the presence of Najib Al-Issa, chairman of Al-Issa Group, Automotive sector, Engineer Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, president of Abdul Latif Jameel Company , and Faisal Abdullah, vice-president.
Al-Issa said "the auto market in Saudi Arabia is undergoing a recovery after the crisis that has befallen this sector, which was a reflection of the global economic crisis. Autostar looks forward through this agreement to enhance its business by meeting its customers' needs and providing the best cars at competitive prices."
The agreement is the largest deal signed between Autostar and Abdul Latif Jameel Company over the past 10 years since they started their cooperation.
He pointed out that the said agreement includes the expansion of the strategic partnership between both companies to include maintenance, retail sales and credit sales, as well as the support of Autostar marketing campaigns and after-sales services.
Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel said the new agreement will enhance their mutual cooperation to better serve their clients in terms of prices and services. This is the second time that the president of Abdul Latif Jameel Company visited the headquarters of Autostar in Jeddah since the start of cooperation between the two parties, where he toured their facilities and divisions and was briefed about their services.
He commended the performance of Autostar, noting its efforts greatly contribute to the increment of Toyota's car sales and spare parts in view of the great trust of their customers and their exceptional services.
