Morocco among most advanced telecommunications markets in Africa, Fox Business
Washington - Morocco is one of the most advanced telecommunications markets in Africa featuring the highest penetration and some of the lowest prices for internet access on the continent, American TV channel, Fox Business, said on its website on Friday.Fox Business underlined the good performance of Morocco's main network operator, Maroc Telecom , and noted that the fast-growing telecoms sector in the country is distinguished by a renaissance in the fixed-line market following the launch of the second and third network operators ( Meditel and Wana ).
Fox Business also said that most of the new connections are wireless, underlining that the operators are upgrading their fiber optic national backbone networks and international connectivity in order to accommodate the increasing amount of voice and internet traffic.
