Maroc Telecom acquires Sotelma majority stake
Maroc Telecom on Tuesday (July 7th) officially acquired a 51% stake in Malian national telecom company Sotelma, The 275m-euro investment shows the two countries' will to promote bilateral economic co-operation, MAP quoted Malian Communication Minister Diarra Mariam Flanté Dialloas as saying at the signing ceremony in Bamako.Morocco's largest mobile operator owns similar stakes in Mauritania's Mauritel, Gabon Telecom and Burkina Faso's Onatel.
