Bank Al-Jazira obtains ISO Certificate of Quality 9001
JEDDAH - Bank Al-Jazira (BAJ) has recorded a new achievement by obtaining the "ISO 9001" International Certificate of Quality in the areas of Trade Operations services and ATM services as the first fully Shariah-compliant bank in Saudi Arabia.Ziad Aba Al-Khail, deputy chief executive officer, said the bank's efforts led to success by obtaining ISO 9001 certificate for its trade and ATM services after assessment carried out by Moody's International Company, one of the international companies granting ISO certification.
"It proves that our services, operations and processes are compliant with the international quality standards and requirements," he added.
Al-Khail further said by "obtaining ISO 9001 certification, we will further improve customers' satisfaction by providing services with sustained quality levels that do not only fulfill their requirements but exceed their expectations."
Besides, it will enhance the teamwork, reward outstanding performance and ensure continuous improvement of employees skills, he pointed out.
Bank Aljazira is also considered a pioneer in corporate social responsibility through its program "Khair Aljazira Le Ahl Aljazira" with a dedicated fund of SR 100 million to support and sponsor major social development programs, in cooperation with reputable government and non-government philanthropic organizations.
In addition, Bank Aljazira takes "utmost care of enhancing its human resources capabilities in line with the distinguished level of service the bank aspire to provide its customers."
Bank Aljazira is also a pioneer in nationalizing jobs as more than 91 percent of its employees are Saudis.
Moreover, it is also considered as a leading bank in Shariah compliant banking services and on top of the list of the best Shariah-compliant banks.
