SHASH'09 opens with most advanced products on display
JEDDAH: Jeddah Gov. Prince Mishaal bin Majed inaugurated the annual Saudi Healthcare and Saudi Hospital Show (SHASH'09) and an international conference on "Paradigm shift in health care" at the Jeddah Center for Forums & Events last night. Over 120 exhibitors from 15 countries are showcasing their most advanced products and services at the show.The countries include America, Britain, Germany, Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Canada, the UAE, Czech Republic, China and Sweden. A large contingent of Saudi health care companies has also shown its strong presence.
The four-day event is being held with the support of the Ministry of Health and in concurrence with a Wellbeing show. Organized by Al-Harithy Company for Exhibitions Ltd. (ACE), the event is the 16th international exhibition and symposium for medical, insurance, dental, pharmaceuticals and scientific equipment & lab ware. The Saudi Hospital is the 6th international event for non-medical hospital infrastructure, supplies and furnishings. Wellbeing is the 2nd international event for products, equipment and services for health, fitness and wellness.
The excellence awardees included Dr. Jameela Gary for clinical work, Dr. Hasna Banjar for nursing and Dr. Sawsan Al-Majaly for nursing education. Al-Eman Society was also honored for its efforts in caring for cancer patients as part of its community service program.
