UAE expresses reservation at selection of Riyadh as GCC Central Bank HQ
The UAE delegation to the 11th GCC Consultative Summit has expressed reservation at a resolution for selecting Saudi capital Riyadh as headquarters of the GCC Central Bank. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai attended the GCC conference in Riyadh yesterday and returned to the UAE the same evening.Sheikh Mohammed led a high-ranking delegation. He was received at Riyadh airport by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, Saudi emirs, ministers and other senior civilian and military officials.
The high-level delegation accompanying Sheikh Mohammed included Minister of Interior Lt Gen Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Financial Affairs Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State Reem Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Director of Sheikh Mohammed's Office Lt Gen Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan and the UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Al Asri Saeed Al Dhahiri.
Earlier yesterday, Sheikh Mohammed was seen off at Dubai airport by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed Al Maktoum and other senior government officials.
