Algain appointed as SRPC Managing Director
RIYADH: Tarik A. Algain has been appointed executive vice president of the group, effective March 28, and managing director of Saudi Research and Publishing Company . Algain has resigned his previous post as CEO of Saudi Printing and Packaging Company (SPPC) , an SRMG subsidiary. He will, however, continue as a member of the SPPC board. Saad bin Rashid Al-Dossari has been appointed acting CEO of SPPC .Born in Madinah in 1962, Algain obtained a bachelor's degree in computer science from an American university. He has previously worked as an officer in the information technology section of the Saudi Air Force. He was appointed CEO of SPPC on Feb. 1, 2007. Before that he worked as assistant managing director of SRPC from June 1, 2004 to March 30, 2005.
The acting CEO of SPPC , Al-Dossari, holds a bachelor's degree in printing from a US university. He also holds master's and doctorate degrees from American University in London. He was production manager of King Fahd Qur'an Printing Complex in Madinah from 1989 to 1997. He joined SPPC last year as executive director of operations.
