Iran, Turkmenistan confer on gas projects

Ashkhabad - Iranian and Turkmen officials held talks on Wednesday on gas field development projects in Turkmenistan. The first round of the gas talks held in the presence of Managing Director of the National Iranian Gas Export Company Reza Kasaei-Zadeh, who led the Iranian delegation, and the Turkmen vice-president for energy affairs.

Iran and Turkmenistan has so far inked an agreement on investment in a gas field in Turkmenistan which is located near Iran-Turkmenistan borders.

The two sides welcomed the gas field development plan that would be taken up by Iran and its location was specified in the current month.

A number of directors of Petropars Iran (PPI) have been accompanying Kasaei-Zadeh in his Turkmenistan's visit.

The gas talks between Iran and Turkmenistan will continue.
