DOHA: After successful projects in Trivandrum in India, Bahrain and Al Jubail in Saudi Arabia, the KIMS group launched its third GCC project as KIMS Qatar Medical Centre (KQMC) at Al Wakra recently. The function was attended by Mubarak Jassim Al Khater, Chairman of KQMC and Rashid Bin Ali Al Khater, Ambassador of Qatar to Singapore.
A partnership between Coastal Healthcare Management Doha and KIMS Hospital Group Trivandrum, India (a multispecialty hospital of 500 beds) KIMS Qatar Medical Centre (KQMC) aims to provide world class treatment and services to the people of Qatar at an affordable cost. KIMS is a 500 bed Multispecialty tertiary care centre at Trivandrum, India.
KQMC, a polyclinic, at present will start with Orthopedics, Gynaecology and ENT. The initial medical team consists of Dr Praveen Kumar Pande (Specialist - Orthopedic Surgery), Dr Jyoti Pande (Specialist - Obstetrics & Gynaecology) and Dr Sajith Kumar V I (Specialist - ENT), all of whom have vast experience in providing medical care in India and various countries.
The paramedical services available initially are Audiology & Speech Therapy and Physiotherapy. In two months' time, KQMC will have reputed doctors joining to support the departments of Pediatrics, Dentistry, Internal Medicine and Dermatology.
