Omar bin Khalfan Al Wahaibi said: "We aspire to build a company that offers distinguished services to the community by greening the future through providing treated effluent that will cover Muscat with a green pasture. This is a great opportunity to all of us to be here to celebrate what we have achieved in the previous year and to share what we are planning to do. We will achieve our goals by working together as a team that shares ideas, helps each other and celebrates success. We are here to work hand-in-hand for a greener environment and brighter future. We are celebrating the launching of our new logo, our new brand which means life. Our new brand name is the verb tense of the living action. It resembles the life we bring back to the community through recycling wastewater to help in the birth of a new botanical environment. The end product of our new name is a green community."
"The launch of the new logo today marks the start of a new, exciting phase for our projects. The wastewater sector in the Sultanate as a whole will undergo further transformation over the next few years. There are many stimulating plans ahead. Our project works continuously to go forward to cover all the wilayats of Muscat Governorate. The number of our employees will rise, our responsibilities will increase and we will achieve our goal by working as one team, to provide wastewater services to 80 per cent of Muscat population by 2014."
The event was held as part of OWSC 's 2008 general staff meeting, which also saw the company embrace the message for community and change that was announced as part of a comprehensive review of its achievements over the past year.
