Liberty Automobiles and Advantage Taxi in deal to expand taxi fleet by 40%

Sharjah's biggest taxi operator to purchase 500 Chevrolet Epicas from Liberty

Dubai, September 16, 2008: Liberty Automobiles Company , the authorised Chevrolet dealer, is to supply 500 Chevrolet Epica cars to Advantage Taxi LLC, the biggest taxi operator franchised by Sharjah Transport Corporation to run the taxi service in Sharjah. This is billed as one of the largest such orders.

The agreement to buy the new vehicles was signed recently by Mr. Mohammad Al Haddad - Managing Director, Advantage Taxi, and Mr. Abdul Malik - Group General Manager, Liberty Automobiles Company , in the presence of Mr. Mohammed Bushleabi, Group General Manager - Legal Affairs, Liberty Investment Company (the holding company of Liberty Automobiles ), Mr. Mahmoud Edris - General Manager, Advantage Limousine, the luxury passenger transport specialist, and Mr. Ahmed Al Jaziri - General Manager, Advantage Taxi.

Advantage Taxi, a major unit of the transport division of Al Yousuf Group , will be adding the brand-new Chevrolet Epica vehicles to its fleet between November 2008 and January 2009, as well as replace the ones already in its fleet.

"Our relationship with Liberty is not new, as we already have Chevrolet Epicas in our current fleet. We have found these vehicles to be tough and reliable, and ideally suited for the taxi business," said Mr. Mohammad Al Haddad - Managing Director, Advantage Taxi. "We are particularly impressed with Liberty 's service standards, another factor critical to the taxi business, and therefore decided to consolidate our partnership as we embarked on further expansion."

Prior to this agreement for 500 Chevrolet Epicas for Advantage Taxi, another deal was concluded last month for 100 Chevrolet Tahoe and Caprice vehicles to be added to Advantage Limousine, the luxury passenger transport specialist, and the car rental fleet.
