Kuwait National Petroleum Company announces tenders for fourth refinery
KUWAIT: Kuwait National Petroleum Company officials announced the company's decision to hold an extended meeting for Kuwaiti contractors. The contractors had been previously shortlisted the company to execute works at the fourth refinery.The meeting is expected to be held during the holy month of Ramadan to get acquainted with the contractors' capabilities with respect to availability of laborers at all required technical levels, as well as the availability of the required equipments. They will be briefed about the nature of work to be executed by them over the next eight months.
KNPC officials said they have shortlisted five main contractors to execute the work at the new refinery. Hundreds of tenders for smaller contractors will be released later they said, and added that there is no delay in the project and everything was progressing as per the scheduled timetable, reported Annahar. All tenders relating to the project will be awarded through the supreme committee for the new refinery, they added.
