Cellucom to open 750 new outlets by 2009
Stores to come up in the GCC and IndiaCellucom , the Dubai-based premier distributor and retailer of mobility products, will open 750 new stores across the GCC and in India by the end of 2009, a top executive said. "In India by the end of next year we will open 500 stores and the remaining 250 stores will be opened in other GCC countries," Arun Nagar, founder and managing director, Cellucom Group, told The Business Weekly.
Cellucom , which was established in 1999, has 90 outlets currently operating in the GCC states. It adds to increase the number of stores to 250 by the end of next year. "Although we will continues to grow in the UAE, particularly in Abu Dhabi and other emirates, the future expansion in the region will come mainly from Kuwait and Oman," he said.
Cellucom sees tremendous growth potential in Oman, where it already has 11 stores. The company will add another three more outlets in the Sultanate by the end of this year. In Bahrain, where Cellucom has nine stores already, it will add three more stores by the end of 2008.
A global enterprise with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certification, Cellucom is engaged in the sales of communication products, digital devices and servicing of mobile phones and has a strong distribution and retail presence all over the GCC and East Africa. The group head office is located at the Dubai Airport Free Zone.
