Mashreq and Etisalat join forces to bring the first co-brand credit card with free redeemable talk time to the UAE
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 15th June 2008: Etisalat and Mashreq , in collaboration with Visa International today announced an exciting new joint venture which revolutionizes credit card benefits across the UAE. The ' Etisalat - Mashreq credit card', is the region's first co-branded loyalty card which earns customers free talk time for every Dirham spent.

"With the growing number of expatriates across the UAE, residents are spending a great deal of time on international calls to relatives and friends at home," said Mr. Essa Al Haddad, Chief Marketing Officer, Etisalat . "At Etisalat we are focused on enabling people to reach out to one-another, and what better way to do so than rewarding customers with 'More' points on all their credit card spends which can be redeemed for talk time? We're delighted that our tie-up with Mashreq will provide customers with much needed talk time, an irreplaceable benefit."

Customers holding an Etisalat Mashreq credit card will earn Etisalat 'More' points for every Dirham spent on the card. Cardholders will earn additional points if they use the card to pay for Etisalat products and services. Etisalat and Mashreq are offering three cards - Platinum, Gold and Classic. Adding more excitement to the unparalleled offer, customers will benefit from bonus 'More' rewards points on the first purchase made on their card. The amount of 'More' points received depends on the type of card being used.

Platinum cardholders will receive 12,000 bonus 'More' rewards points on the first purchase they make on their card, with Gold cardholders getting 6,000 points and Classic cardholders receiving 3,000 points. Following the first purchase, for every one Dirham spent, Platinum cardholders will receive 2 'More' points, Gold cardholders receive 1.5 'More' points, and Classic cardholders receive 1 'More' point. 2,500 Etisalat 'More' points are equal to AED25 of free talk time!

Besides free talk time, cardholders will be able to avail a variety of benefits ranging from roadside assistance and travel insurance to mobile, online and phone banking.
