BDO Jawad Habib signs with Bahraini companies for new Labour Fund initiative to train Bahraini staff
Manama, Bahrain - The Labour Fund - Career Progression Programme (CPP) managed by BDO Jawad Habib Consulting has recently signed a number of agreements with several Bahraini companies in an effort to train more than 500 Bahrainis in the first batch.The agreements were signed duly by BDO Jawad Habib Consulting and major Bahraini companies including Yousif Bin Yousif Fakhro, Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, Jawad Business Group and Mohammed Fakhroo & Bothers.
Nevertheless, the small and Middle size Enterprises (SMEs) had a fair share in the first batch that joined the CPP and the list includes Etisalcom, Bridge Industrial Services, Oriental Press, Falcon Aluminium and National Occupational Safety and Health Centre.
Meanwhile, BDO Jawad Habib Consulting has been actively prequalifying Bahraini Training Service Providers who would be able to provide suitable training courses for employees from the participating companies. Some of the pre-qualified Training Service Providers include: BIBF, Berlitz, Gulf Academy, GII, EMIC, Golden Trust, NIT and others. Dr. Ehsan Ghurbal, the CPP project manager, requests other Training Service Providers in Bahrain to apply for the prequalification to provide training under the CPP.
Dr Ghurbal concluded: "The programme was launched late January and aims to offer relevant and suitable training for the nominated employees and hence improving the productivity of the organisations they work for. We urge companies to benefit from the Career Progression Programme.
The Career Progression Centre (CPC) is located on the 3rd floor at Al Ezz Tower (off-the Exhibition Avenue) and is exclusively dedicated to receive requests, enquiries and support the execution of this programme. Employers in the private sector can participate in the programme by nominating their eligible Bahraini employees. The Labour Fund
The CPP is designed and fully sponsored by the Labour Fund to benefit the Bahraini employees in the private sector.
The Labour Fund is a semi-autonomous entity which formulates strategic and operational plans to enhance the overall prosperity of the private sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain by investing in Bahraini employability, skill enhancement of existing employees and enterprise growth. The Labour Fund aims to assist the private sector to increase its productivity and to become the engine of economic growth.
Under the CPP; the Labour Fund subsidises the HR consulting fees, the training cost and the salary increase of BD50 for the first 12 months.
