Abu Dhabi, 12 February 2008: Royal Jet , the Middle East's business aviation market leader, has promoted UAE national Captain Mohamed Saif Al Mazroui to the position of Director of Flight Operations, with immediate effect.

The appointment comes as part of the company's management restructuring, aimed at readying itself for a major anticipated increase in new business.

Captain Al Mazroui has extensive experience going back some 25 years, including time spent in both the US and in the UK. He started with Amiri Flight , for whom he worked for a total of 20 years, with gaps for six years working for Gulf Air and just over two years with Oman Air, before returning once again to Amiri Flight . He has piloted Boeing 737, 767, Airbus A300-600 and 320 aircraft.

In his new role he will have three key objectives - to ensure the safety of Royal Jet 's extensive fleet of aircraft, to be in charge of real-situation assessment centres when hiring pilots, and making sure pilots follow standard procedures whilst working to the highest standards possible. Another of his key objectives is the Emiratisation of the flight crews.

Royal Jet 's VP Operations, Capt Andy Bray expressed his delight over the appointment. "Captain Al Mazroui has already proved his professionalism and commitment to the company and as Royal Jet continues to enjoy an exponential increase in new business, this appointment will be critical in ensuring that we are well placed to further expand our market leadership of the private aviation sector."
