Advanced Polypropylene Company in Jubail makes headway
Riyadh, January 06, SPA -- The Advanced Polypropylene Company has announced that it has successfully operated the integrated services and utilities and linked the fuel gas and propylene gas from Saudi Aramco and the electric power from the Saudi Electricity Company for the manufacturers of propylene and polypropylene at its project in the industrial city of Al-Jubail for the production of polypropylene with a capacity of 450,000 tons per year.Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors Khalifa bin Abdullatif Al-Melham said the production will be on stream effective from the first quarter of 2008 in line with the set plan.
Meanwhile, the Executive President of the Company Eng Ali al-Sha'eer said 13 million working hours were completed with any working injuries.
It is worth mentioning that the cost of the project amounts to about SR 3 billion.
