Maadiran begins manufacturing LG mobile phones
As of February 17th, 2007 Maadiran began the mass production of mobile phones. The handsets, which are produced under license of LG Electronics Inc. of South Korea, are intended to satisfy the rapidly growing demand of the Iranian market over the next few years. The start of production positions Maadiran not only as the Middle East's leading private electronics manufacturers, but also as the only large scale GSM mobile phone manufacturer in the region. The launch was marked by a well attended opening ceremony in which the Minister of Industries and Mines, Mr. Alireza Tahmasebi and several key government officials were present.Production has started on 5 current LG models and as LGE provides new models to the world market, Maadiran also will include some of those in its range. One of Maadiran 's primary strength is its well known after sales service. To start with, Maadiran will provide a "within one day" full service to Tehran mobile phone customers and in the near future this campaign will be extended to the other major Iranian cities.
LG Mobile phones is the 7th product category for Maadiran . Maadiran currently produces LG brand LCD and CRT monitors, its own X.VISION brand of LCD TVs, EPSON dot matrix printers, Olivetti bank slip printers and Maadiran brand of PCs.
