Green Packet Networks partners with Seven Seas to address growing demand for next generation network solutions in UAE

Strategic alliance to expand market coverage of GPN's class-leading Self Organizing Network and Opportunity Driven Multiple Access technologies
Green Packet Networks W.L.L. (GPN), a leading broadband wireless technology provider and Next Generation mobile solutions developer, has announced that it has recently established a strategic partnership with ICT solutions provider Seven Seas as part of an initiative to improve sales performance by addressing the growing demand for next generation network (NGN) solutions in the UAE.

As the authorized GPN partner in the UAE, Seven Seas will be able to deploy GPN's NGN solutions based on the Self Organizing Network (SON) and Opportunity Driven Multiple Access (ODMA) technology to the projects of its clients, and also distribute the products in UAE markets. Seven Seas may also bundle GPN solutions with Seven Seas solutions for distribution to the market.

Describing the partnership as a "win-win situation" for the two parties and the market they cater to, Dr. Ali Al Mashat, Chairman of GPN, said, "Through this partnership, Seven Seas will be able to fill an existing market demand for NGN solutions via our wide range of offerings based on GPN's unique SON and ODMA technology. On the other hand, with its extensive consumer base in the UAE, Seven Seas will further extend GPN's market coverage in the different emirates, improving our position as the leading provider of NGN wireless solutions."

"As one of the biggest solutions providers in the UAE, Seven Seas brings to the partnership a customer portfolio that includes A-class enterprises in the UAE. As such, GPN will roll out its class-leading wired and wireless solutions to satisfy the high-end networking requirements of these prominent clients," added Dr. Al Mashat.

Under the agreement, GPN and Seven Seas will focus their marketing efforts on telecommunications companies or telcos, system integrators and solutions providers. The collaboration has been in line with GPN's ongoing Partners Program, which seeks to enhance profitability and accelerate expansion initiatives in high-growth areas in the region.

GPN's SON wireless products offer flexible multimedia and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) capabilities, while the ODMA technology enables provision of wireless broadband connectivity at GSM type coverage with DSL/Cable data speeds at a more competitive cost compared to most wireless solutions.

Launched in Bahrain in February 2007, GPN is a joint venture between Green Packet Berhad, a Malaysian-based technology company listed on the Main Board of Bursa Securities Malaysia Berhad; and Saudi Economic and Development Co. (SEDCO) , a Saudi-based investment company.

Founded in 1983 in the UAE, Seven Seas is a premier ISO 9001:2000 certified end-to-end ICT solutions provider. Seven Seas delivers technology solutions and services in business software, data networking, business continuity and data centre, enterprise and high availability, voice solutions, information security, intelligent building management systems (IBMS), smart homes, value-added IT services, corporate procurement and consulting.
