Future beckons Ras Al Khaimah Future Schools

RAS AL KHAIMAH -- Future Schools (Madares Al Ghad) in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) are all set for their launch in the new academic year. Teaching and administrative staff have started attending schools since August 19.

Six Future Schools in RAK, including two secondary schools, three primary schools and one nursery school, have started functioning in preparation for the official date of opening.

Abdullah Ali Masabbeh, director of the RAK Education Zone, said that unlike the other public schools, the academic year in Future Schools will commence on August 28.

"On August 22, we had a meeting at the Ministry of Education, discussing the curriculum and maintenance of Future Schools. We hope these schools will be of great benefit for our young generation," Ali Masabbeh said.

The six Future Schools of RAK are Ibn Al Dhakhar in Al Ziat area, Ramzi School for boys, Al Dhait Al Junbi School for Girls, Al Mamourah School and Al Nakheel nursery school.

Special teaching programmes have been designed for these schools, including for teaching English, Arabic, Mathematics and IT.

The schools have new teaching staff, new teaching syllabi, new books and new infrastructure.

Daily classes in these schools will extend one hour more than the other public schools.

Masabbeh said the Ministry of Education was mulling more than 100 Future Schools in the whole of the UAE, which will come up in phases.
