1st phase of Mafraq cement factory slated for completion this year
AMMAN -- Al Rajhi Cement Company has completed the first phase of a cement factory in Mafraq Governorate, while over 50 per cent of its construction will be completed by the end of this year, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday.Experts anticipate that next year will witness strong competition between Al Rajhi Cement Company and the Jordan Cement Factories Company , which will have a positive effect on the market and an increase cement supply, Petra reported. With a projected production capacity of two million tonnes annually during the first phase, going up to four million tonnes, the factory is expected to provide jobs for 400-500 workers.
