Selektpoints™ a company owned by The International Investor (TII) , has won the Cards International Global Award for 2007 for the category 'Best Innovation in a Loyalty Programme'.
The award was presented at the annual Cards International awards dinner where the industry's leading players will be acknowledged for their achievements over the last year. The annual awards ceremony took place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Berlin on 22 May in conjunction with 20th Cards & Payments Europe Conference and Expo.
The award recognized selektpoints™ for creating a global coalition program available through a wide range of merchants offering personalized redemption offers to cardholders.
The award was granted by an independent panel of internationally recognised industry consultants and credit card experts, together with VRL KnowledgeBank's research team and journalists. Organizations were nominated by Cards International readers.
In 2006 a worldwide business patent was applied for TII's "selektpoints™" unique concept. This state-of-the-art merchant coalition loyalty program is the first of its kind, bringing TII to the forefront of the global loyalty industry. selektpoints™ offers the most innovative coalition program for end-users, merchants and Landlord banks. Contracts have already been signed with Banks in Kuwait, UAE and Lebanon, and negotiations are underway in India, Pakistan, K.S.A., South Africa, Europe, Jordan, Qatar, Oman, Canada, Singapore and Hong Kong. Through an agreement with a 'landlord bank' in each territory, TII's loyalty solutions reside on bank EMV compliant payment cards.
