Wataniya's 'Diggly Tones' tune Kuwait mobile service
Diggly Tone personalises a customer's ring back tone or the ringing "touut touut" sound callers hear while waiting for the recipient to answer the phone.
Addressing the press at the launch, Harri Koponen, Wataniya's general manager and CEO said, "Mobile phones are today more than practical gadgets where customers are looking for maximum benefit from their handsets rather than just a voice connection."
"Wataniya's Diggly Tone feeds customers' demands for such sophisticated value added services. It offers them exactly what they are looking for in Mobile Entertainment Services, which is witnessing today a growing traffic worldwide," Koponen was quoted as saying in a press release. Diggly Tone is a trendy service perfectly designed to turn a customers' mobile experience into a more joyful one. Instead of the old fashion ringing sounds, customers can today customise their mobiles with a wide range of fashionable tones matching their preferences.
Instead of the regular 'toot toot," Diggly Tone provides customers with a rich and diversified basket of latest songs, in different languages, that callers can hear after dialing a user's phone until the call is answered. Just imagine listening to Amir Diab, Madonna or Pink Floyd while waiting for your friend or relative to answer your call.
Moreover, Diggly Tone can be customised per person or per group. It allows customers to select different profiles. They can personalise the ring their callers hear where they set a different tone, for specific time of day, dates, caller's numbers and caller's number groups. They can use different tones for different events such as weekend or holidays and associate different tones to each profile selected.
How can a customer subscribe to Diggly Tone?
There are two steps to subscribe to Diggly Tones; either by calling the 1600 IVR number and follow the instructions or by selecting the desirable songs by logging on to www.wataniya.com and be led to a wide range of tones.
On the occasion of Kuwait's National and Liberation Day and for the launch period, Wataniya offers its customers the Wataniya Tones for no charge. Diggly Tones is available for all Wataniya customers. The handset a subscriber uses also does not matter in using this service. A customer can buy, purchase or download any custom Diggly Tone for just 500 fils per month. The tone can be renewed for another month for another 30 days at the price of 500 fils.
"It is simply the music at customer's demand," Koponen concluded. Diggly Tone could be a nice present for a friend or a relative since a customer can buy it as a gift for a Wataniya subscriber for a period of a month.
Bashar Al-Shatti from Star Academy attended the press launch yesterday. He had recorded a Kuwaiti national song, which will be available as part of the Diggly Tones offer.
