Greater Amman Municipality and TTrans-Arabian Creative Communications Services
During a media roundtable held at the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) Headquarters on Sunday, GAM and Trans-Arabian Creative Communications Services (TRACCS) announced the Forum program, session chairs and supporting partners of the upcoming high-profile Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Forum.Under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, the Forum will take place from Feb. 28 to March 1, at Al-Hussein Cultural Center in Ras el-Ain, under the theme, Duty or a Way of Life. The Forum aims to encourage new dialogue and debate towards positive, progressive thinking in order to generate and perpetuate healthier communities "in mind, body, soul and economies."
At the roundtable, Mayor of Amman Omar Maani, and CEO of the TRACCS Network, Muhammad Al-Ayed, announced that the two-day Forum will engage a select group of over 30 business leaders, civil society, government representatives, members of the media, entrepreneurs, and over 150 participants in conversations tackling old and new challenges.
The Forum supporting partners, Nuqul Group , LG Electronics , and Savola Group , stated their support as proponents of CSR and believers in the necessity of giving back to the community. The supporting partners were represented at the roundtable by Salim Karadsheh, Nuqul Group 's CEO; Osama Khalili, CEO and board chairman at Middle East Complex, LGE's agent in Jordan; Kevin Cha, GM of LGE Jordan; and Faten Al-Yafi, head of Corporate Social Responsibility and Communication at The Savola Group .
Maani stated that he was proud to be hosting this Forum, and that plans for more such events that foster public-private partnership are underway. He also went on to thank TRACCS for their participation in the formation of the discussion.
Ayed affirmed the importance of CSR and the necessity of raising awareness of it. He also thanked GAM for the role they played and continue to play in this important initiative.
