Al Yousuf Set to Grow NEC Sales by 50% in Next Year
Regional Government Ministries will Continue to be Big Customers; NEC's Blade Servers and High-End Storage Solutions on Display at Al Yousuf's GITEX 2005 Exhibition StandDubai, United Arab Emirates - Middle East sales through Al Yousuf IT of NEC servers and storage devices will increase by up to 50%, according to a senior executive with the regional value-adding partner.
Leading the surge in sales are orders from UAE governmental ministries, but also several private sector enterprises.
"Government ministries demand the most reliable and scaleable technology available on the market, and NEC's desktops, laptops, servers, and storage devices fit that criteria," said Abdul Malik Baghdadi, general manager, Al Yousuf Computers.
NEC blade servers have become increasingly popular in the Middle East, thanks to their space-saving form factor and ease of installation.
Another advantage of NEC blade servers is the flexibility they offer in times of expansion. They are designed such that the addition of new blades, or the exchange of faulty blades, can be done without interrupting the operation of the other blades in the same unit.
This incredible flexibility lowers the cost of maintenance and is an important factor for regional users looking to expand their server capacity in the future.
