Yemenia Airways introduces its brand new Airbus A320 on an additional direct flight from Abu Dhabi to Sana'a
25 May, 2011 - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Abu Dhabi Airports Company ( ADAC ) and Yemenia Airways announced today the addition of a new flight serving the Sana'a route from Abu Dhabi International Airport , starting 17th of June 2011. The new frequency brings the total flights for the airline at Abu Dhabi International Airport to 4 weekly servicing 4 destinations in Yemen. The additional flight will be operated with one of the two new aircrafts that where recently added to the airline's fleet with another eight more aircrafts due to join Yemenia in the coming months.The decision to increase frequency came as a response to the growing demand that the market is witnessing for more flights to and from Yemen whereby, passenger traffic to Yemen in 2010 recorded an increase of 19% over 2009.
Eng. Ahmed Al Haddabi, Senior Vice President of Airports Operations at ADAC said: "We are delighted to see more services being offered to passengers at Abu Dhabi International Airport . At ADAC , we are working closely with various Airlines to support their development initiatives that ultimately benefit our passengers with more choices."
