World Renowned Journalist shares Words of Wisdom with High School Graduates
Dubai, UAE- March 14, 2012 - Riz Khan, a world renowned journalist and internationally acclaimed broadcaster and author, visited GEMS Cambridge International School last Thursday to speak to students.
Addressing the students, aged 16 and above, Mr. Khan - a known presenter, anchor and reporter at the BBC and a senior anchor at CNN, discussed the advent of social media within the news industry and shared his views on blogging and citizen journalism. He is currently working as an author, media consultant and moderator of international conferences, and was able to highlight the challenges and advantages associated with a fast paced job in the communications sector for the students.
The session was followed by a question and answer period, during which students took the opportunity to ask questions about Mr. Khan's life and experiences. Riz Khan's visit to Cambridge International School was part of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature Education Day.
